Todd Marcotte has taken on the role of AltMed’s Chief Marketing Officer, bringing a depth of knowledge and experience in the practice of effective marketing and communications. Todd will guide the development of an AltMed brand that reflects our mission and realizes our goals.

Todd has owned and operated an award-winning marketing communications agency since 1985. In that time he has been the Creative Director and Account Executive on more than 1000 projects. Along the way he has successfully marketed over $400 million in real estate sales, has helped raise millions of dollars for non-profit healthcare organizations and has branded and launched major projects for Fortune 500 companies.

DIRECTOR, PHILANTHROPIC PARTNERSHIPS

Traci Smullen joined AltMed in June 2014 and will serve as Director, Philanthropic Partnerships.  In this position, Traci will be responsible for developing partnerships between  foundations and charities dedicated to improving health of patients suffering from a variety of illnesses through patient advocacy, support and research.

Traci comes to AltMed with 11 years of pharmaceutical and biotech experience in the areas of sales and sales training. Traci honed her outstanding interpersonal skills while owning  and operating a highly successful children’s swim program that  taught hundreds of children to swim. She has also served on the board of the Helen Day Art Center in Stowe , Vermont. Her new appointment to the Board of Directors of Josh Provides – an organization devoted to assisting people living with epilepsy – enables Traci to make a difference for a community she understands and cares about deeply.

Traci is the stepmother of Kayla, who has suffered from the effects of epilepsy treatments over the years.  Her experience with Kayla inspires her commitment to building patient advocacy partnerships at AltMed.

DIRECTOR OF GOVERNMENT RELATIONS

Ron Watson is AltMed’s Director of Government Relations. He is also the President of Watson Strategies, a full service lobbying firm, who helped spearhead the passage of the “Charlotte’s Web / Low-THC Cannabis” bill (SB 1030) in Florida.

With 25 years of experience in Florida political, regulatory and lobbying endeavors, Ron has lobbied for physicians and dentists with the Florida Medical Association (FMA), the Florida Osteopathic Medical Association (FOMA), and most recently, the Florida Dental Association (FDA). During this time, he has developed excellent relationships with executive, legislative and regulatory leadership throughout Florida government. Ron has acquired a comprehensive knowledge of laws, rules, budgets and regulations concerning medical, dental, pharmaceutical, tort reform and insurance issues. He also has extensive political involvement with patient advocacy and grassroots organizations, as well as organizing and managing political action committees.
