WORKING WITH

THE COMMUNITY

Positive, Engaged and Compassionate

“For too long the subject of medical cannabis has been a gray area, stigmatized and shadowed by the misconceptions of the past. The way we let the light in is by talking together — meeting with communities, listening to patient groups and families and understanding their experiences and challenges.”

Traci Smullen,

Director Philanthropic Partnerships

AltMed is on course to becoming a leader in cannabis-based medications — working together with patients, communities, partner companies and foundations. Listening, sharing information, and promoting understanding about the benefits of medical cannabis will always be part of our DNA.

We’re partnering with preeminent foundations, patient advocate communities and well recognized non profits to open discussion, advance knowledge and help people get the treatments they need to experience symptom relief and achieve wellness.

A Life Story Foundation

A Life Story Foundation’s mission is to raise awareness and create action to discover effective treatments, and ultimately a cure for ALS. Currently ALS is a fatal disease with no known cause. It rapidly robs a person of the ability to walk, speak, and ultimately breath, while the mind remains fully intact and imprisoned. Shortly after his diagnosis with ALS in 2012, founder Kevin Swan quickly realized how few people knew of this devastating disease and that it seems to attack the best and brightest members of our communities. He has made a commitment to share these larger than life personalities with the world, one story at a time to ensure we find a cure for this horrific disease.
